Manchester-based design agency Buffalo 7, which specialises in the design of PowerPoint Presentations, recently made the decision to move their 31-strong team to brand new premises in Bruntwood’s ‘West Village’, investing over £100,000 to create what truly is one of Manchester’s most-unique working environments.

The 5,157sq ft office space, aptly named ‘The Treehouse’ in reference to its unorthodox centrepiece, is split across two floors and features wooden timber beams and floorboards throughout complete with original sash windows and the added benefit of high ceilings, of which the agency took full advantage in their design of the space. Accented with bright, lively colours and plenty of greenery, the resultant space is both aesthetically-pleasing and functional while placing employee wellbeing at the forefront.

Of course the defining feature of the office is the central treehouse from which it derives its name, which provides the ideal breakout space to facilitate flexible working practices, as well as providing an area for relaxation and socialisation between colleagues.

Lyndon Nicholson, CEO of Buffalo 7, said of the move and fit out project, “After years of continued growth we are recognised as one of the UK’s leading specialist presentation design agencies. To support our continued expansion we wanted an office space that would inspire our talented team.

“The Treehouse does exactly that and offers the ideal workspace for us to focus on collaboration, which is key for us as a creative business. We also have room to grow and have hired six more team members since moving here.”

Bradley Topps, head of Transactions and Asset Management at Bruntwood, also commented, “Across the city, we have an extensive portfolio of contemporary workspaces that facilitate productivity and employee well-being,” he said. “Our recent property modernisations, such as Neo, Union and now 127 Portland Street, are setting a new standard in customer-focused, collaborative workspace.”
